Community Guidelines

Founday is a game about noticing your own everyday life. It has no shared feed: your journeys, shots and postcards are visible only to you. These guidelines still matter, because photos are taken among other people and postcards are shared with the outside world. They form part of the Terms of Use.

1. Whom you may photograph

• You may photograph yourself and the people around you who know about it.
• Do not photograph strangers close up and recognisably without their consent — children especially.
• Do not shoot where people are entitled to privacy: other people's homes, hospitals, changing rooms, toilets.
• Do not shoot where photography is prohibited by law or by the rules of the place.
• Other people's documents, car plates, card numbers, screens and messages do not belong in your journeys.

Journey tasks are written so that they can be done at home, on the way, or wherever you already are, without photographing strangers or looking into anyone's private life. If a task seems to ask for that, it is asking for something else.

2. What must not be in Founday

• Anything illegal. Sexual material involving minors leads to the immediate deletion of the account and a report to the competent authorities.
• Intimate images of other people without their consent.
• Other people's personal data, and anything that helps locate a specific person against their will.
• Images you have no right to use — someone else's photos or artwork passed off as your own.

3. Sharing postcards

• A postcard leaves Founday only when you tap Share, and it goes where you send it.
• Before sharing, think about the people who may be in your shots: a face on your postcard becomes a face on someone else's screen.
• Once shared, a postcard can be saved and forwarded by others. Do not share what you are not ready to show.
• Do not use postcards to harass, shame or threaten anyone.

4. How we look after this

We do not look through your photos, and no automated system checks them. Since nobody else sees them inside the app, the app has no report or block buttons — there is no one to report.

If you learn that Founday is being used for something illegal, or that a postcard made in Founday violates your rights, write to [email protected]. If a life is at risk, call the emergency services — we are not a substitute for the police.

If we learn that an account stores illegal content or is used to seriously break these guidelines, we may close it and delete its data. For illegal content we act at once and, where the law requires, report it to the competent authorities. If you believe we got it wrong, write to [email protected].

5. When other people appear in Founday

If a future version lets you show your journeys to people close to you, these guidelines will grow — with a way to report and to block someone, and with clear consequences — before that version comes out.
